Really like the Vogue Nippon August theme: MANGA FUN. That being said, of course MANGA is no stranger as an inspiration to many magazine and fashion spread, but no body does it the way Vogue Nippon way, plus it is The-Land-of-MANGA.
So you see Anna Dello Russo and her team taking different manga characters into costume (Japan is indeed the Land-of-Costume-Play) and also plenty of illustration and even a short comic story in there about the life of fashion, and featuring faces of some of other fashionista.
If Dazed&Confussed is pushing the boundaries on the West side, Vogue Nippon is pushing the East side.
